BMW Motorrad has unveiled their updated 2021 models. The updates introduce new colours, styles, optional equipment and modifications to comply with the Euro 5 emissions regulations for certain models.
A total of 11 models receive updates:
- S 1000 RR superbike.
- S 1000 XR sport-tourer.
- R 1250 RS sport-tourer.
- R 1250 R roadster (standard).
- K 1600 GT.
- K 1600 GTL.
- K 1600 B.
- K 1600 Grand America.
- F 900 R roadster.
- F 900 XR sport-tourer.
- R 18 retro classic cruiser.

All bikes get new paint schemes including a delectable new Black Storm metallic colour for the S 1000 RR and an ultra-sporty white, blue and red for the S 1000 XR. The others in this list will also be offered in some very interesting colours, some that were seen only in the exclusive factory custom Option 719 guise recently.

Certain models that allowed ABS to be disengaged will no longer have the feature due to EU regulations.

The K 1600 lineup will now include Reverse Assist as standard to ease backing up. This is surely a welcome feature.
The two F 900 models receive a "new activation concept" for Pro riding modes; while the R 18 gets cruise control and a steering damper.

BMW isn’t BMW if they don’t offer a plethora of optional equipment and accessories. It looks like the manufacturer’s giving on their Option 719 and M accessories and equipment a serious push. As such, owners of the 2021 models can specify new performance, electronics, lighting, luggage packages.
The updates are extensive and too long to list here, so we will feature each model in detail when they arrive on our shores.
